The River’s Bend Children’s Center staff has created a caring place for your peace of mind. Our staff has been carefully screened to find diligent, special people who teach from the heart. Teachers are also selected based on their nurturing skills, experience with children and educational background. All staff are required to participate in ongoing training every year.
Our caregivers provide your child with an educational learning environment, warmth, safety, healthy food, encouragement and positive guidance throughout the day. We excel at developing learning skills in each child’s intellectual, emotional, social and physical levels.
All teachers meet Virginia State Licensing requirements and are trained in CPR and Standard First Aid. All staff members have passed the Virginia State Police and Department of Social Services background checks. We have several staff who have been employed at River’s Bend Children’s Center for over 10 years!
All preschool teachers have been trained in the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS). This is a new teaching style developed out of the University of Virginia which focuses on positive child/teacher interactions. The CLASS teaching model is quickly spreading throughout the early childhood education community and we are very excited to be one of the first child care centers in Chesterfield County to incorporate this method.
